ISA water/wastewater symposium offers attendees 2.0 CEUs for attending (ISA, FSAWWA and FDEP-approved)

FloridaDEP-logoThe symposium committee is pleased to announce that the FSAWWA has officially approved the 2.0 CEUs that each attendee of the symposium will receive.

Attendees of 2013 ISA Water/Wastewater and Automatic Controls Symposium will receive 2.0 CEUs (or 20 PDHs) for participating.  These will be issued jointly by the ISA and the Florida Section of the AWWA, and apply to operators and engineers who work in the water and wastewater sectors.

Thanks to our partnership with the Florida Section of the AWWA, the CEUs have been certified as being FDEP-approved. This means that water and wastewater operators can use these CEUs towards their continuing education requirements for their state-issued operator licenses.  Thus these CEUs count towards their annual license renewals with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.   The FSAWWA can also issued the CEUs in the form of 20 PDHs, for use by other types of license holders such as professional engineers.

For out of state attendees, the FSAWWA-issued CEUs are also recognized by most water/wastewater jurisdictions as a approved continuing education credits for water and wastewater operator licenses.

All attendees will also receive a certificate for 20 PDHs from the ISA for attending the symposium.  These PDHs can be used as proof of continuing education in most jurisdictions.

Furthermore, attendees that take teh symposium’s optional short courses can receive even more credits.  There is the In-Depth Cyber Security course (1.4 CEUs) and the Flowmeter Selection/Sizing Course (0.7 CEUs).
