Fall 2011 ISA water/wastewater newsletter posted online

The Fall 2011 ISA Water/wastewater newsletter is now available online at www.isa.org/wwid/.

In our 36-page fall newsletter, you will read about our 2012 WWID student scholarship program, a planning update for our 2012 WWAC symposium, and a long-form interview with a long-time WWID member. This is followed by an article about the automation of a new waterworks facility in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada; an introduction to two of our new executive committee members; and a technical article about how to mitigate fluid surges from pumps. The newsletter concludes with a technical paper about system integration lessons learned, and copies of the student scholarship application forms.

On a related note, the symposium committee and I are pleased to announce that our 2012 ISA Water/Wastewater and Automatic Controls Symposium will take place 7-9 August 2012 in Orlando, Florida, USA. Make sure to mark your calendars! We will be making an announcement about the hotel, call for papers, and symposium website shortly.

Enjoy!
